Paris Theme Cake #8
This is my fondant cake #8 and as you can see...practice has helped so much! My new favorite thing is painting on fondant with gel food colors. This cake was for a friend who likes pink and black and so I figured maybe something with a Paris theme would look cute. She loved it! I painted the word "Paris" in different fonts with light pink food coloring. I also painted the Eiffel tower with black food coloring and there's a pearl border to make it look like a necklace and a pink flower. The bottom tier has a lamp post with the number 22 for her birthday number. There's a handpainted chair and a lady walking her poodle and a bicycle. The cake itself is a vanilla flavored cake with strawberry filling. Took my husband and I about 9 hours from start to finish. :)
