Damask Wedding Anniversary Cake
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally received an order for a wedding anniversary cake! :D I'm moving on up lol! So this was to celebrate the couple's 7th year wedding anniversary! She requested vanilla cake with raspberry cream filling...if you haven't tried this combo....you need to! IT IS DELICIOUS!!! I handpiped the damask pattern...which took a while but it was well worth it...and
Luau Hawaiian Theme Birthday Cake
This is a 3 tiered cake and it has different layers of vanilla, chocolate, and lemon cake. The vanilla cake has a pineapple filling. The chocolate cake has a chocolate mousse filling. And the lemon cake has a vanilla custard filling. I made six red hibiscus flowers which were pretty dang easy to make actually! What took a while were the kiddos on the cake. They were cartoon characters of her kids :D They loved the idea of "eating themselves" lol I love how much practice I've gotten from making cakes. You can tell I'm better at smoothing fondant ^_^ Not to mention the amount I save from making it myself at home! The stuff at the stores is EXPENSIVE! It's been really hot these days so on the way to the party, the fondant started bubbling out. I grabbed a toothpick....poked a hole...hid it with a leaf...and DONE! Nobody noticed :)
The Brony Cake
This is a "Brony" cake and from my understanding...it's a guy version of "My Little Pony". I thought it was a very cool idea! :) The cake is red velvet with strawberry cream filling. I covered the cake with white fondant. I used different colors of royal icing to create the image of the brony.
All packaged and ready to go :)

Father's Day Cake
This was just a simple cake my husband and I made for the dad's at our church. It was two layers of cake inside that were vanilla and chocolate with chocolate mousse filling and chopped almonds. I buttercreamed all the outside and added some fondant letters and a fondant classic truck. The details were brushed on with a mixture of food gels and clear vanilla extract. The outlines were piped with royal icing. I decorated the sides of the cake with chantilly lace. :)

Hello Kitty Cake (Fondant Cake #9)
I was so excited for this cake when my customer requested a Hello Kitty Cake. She also wanted animal prints so I decided to combine them both! :) I found an image online of Hello Kitty holding a cupcake so I thought this would be the perfect "Happy Birthday" Hello Kitty Cake :D I blew up the image on my laptop in microsoft word and printed two papers with half of Hello Kitty's head on one and her body on the other. I printed them out and taped them at the seams. Then I took some tissue paper and layed it on top of the image and traced with an edible food marker. I then took the tissue paper and placed it over some white rolled out fondant and re-traced the image onto the fondant. Then I piped the outline with royal icing! The cake was vanilla with a chocolate mousse filling. Happy Birthday Kari!
